pH 7110Safety2.2 Safe operation2.2.1 Authorized useThis meter is authorized exclusively for pH and ORP measurements in thelaboratory.Only the operation and running of the meter according to the instructions andtechnical specifications given in this operating manual is authorized (seesection 11 TECHNICAL DATA, page 42).Any other use is considered unauthorized.2.2.2 Requirements for safe operationNote the following points for safe operation:• The meter may only be operated according to the authorized use specifiedabove.• The meter may only be supplied with power by the energy sourcesmentioned in this operating manual.• The meter may only be operated under the environmental conditionsmentioned in this operating manual.• The meter may only be opened if this is explicitly described in this operatingmanual (example: Inserting the batteries).2.2.3 Unauthorized useThe meter must not be put into operation if:• it is visibly damaged (e.g. after being transported)• it was stored under adverse conditions for a lengthy period of time (storingconditions, see section 11 TECHNICAL DATA, page 42).ba75925e01 07/2011 9
