<strong>TB</strong> <strong>CAP</strong> employees in <strong>the</strong> fieldInternational organizations implementing <strong>TB</strong> activitiesHealth care workers and managers at project field sitesClientsHealth facilitiesLaboratories*The criteria for choosing <strong>the</strong> countries to visit are <strong>the</strong> following:– Significant USAID field support;– Epidemiological importance on <strong>TB</strong> and <strong>TB</strong>/HIV;– Implementation <strong>of</strong> a variety <strong>of</strong> partners in coordinating and collaborating roles;– Scope <strong>of</strong> technical areas and level <strong>of</strong> funding; and– Geographic diversity.In-country Field Visits DebriefingsAt <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> each country visit, <strong>the</strong> team will report orally on <strong>the</strong> top findings to USAID Missions. It isanticipated that this session will help <strong>the</strong> team to clarify any questions or issues that came up during <strong>the</strong>field visits.Debriefings (Washington, DC)At <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> field visits, <strong>the</strong> team will report orally (and with slides) on initial top-line findings toboth USAID and <strong>TB</strong>CTA Members. It is anticipated that <strong>the</strong>se sessions will help <strong>the</strong> team to clarifyany questions or issues that came up during <strong>the</strong> field visits and to solicit support for any gaps ininformation.Once <strong>the</strong> report is in <strong>the</strong> final draft format, <strong>the</strong> team will provide a debriefing in which <strong>the</strong> findingswill be presented to USAID/W and <strong>TB</strong> <strong>CAP</strong> for comments.VI. TEAM COMPOSITION AND QUALIFICATIONSSenior Public Health Specialist: A public health expert with extensive experience with USAID projectdesign, implementation, and evaluation. The person should have an excellent understanding <strong>of</strong> USAIDoperational, management, and technical approaches.Public Health Specialist: Two experts in international public health with expertise in monitoring,evaluation, and strategic planning. In addition, a good understanding <strong>of</strong> developing coalitions,coordinating partners, and developing partnerships. S/he should have experience with <strong>the</strong> Stop <strong>TB</strong>Strategy and its approaches. A good understanding <strong>of</strong> human resource and institutional development isdesired.Senior <strong>TB</strong> Specialist: Expert in <strong>the</strong> field <strong>of</strong> international tuberculosis control with excellent understanding<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> global strategy and its implementation. S/he should have many years <strong>of</strong> experience monitoring andevaluating various <strong>TB</strong> programs throughout <strong>the</strong> world. The expert should not be directly affiliated withany <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> partners in <strong>the</strong> <strong>TB</strong> <strong>CAP</strong> coalition.
