<strong>Polyamide</strong> <strong>Casings</strong><br />
VISFLEX ® <strong>Polyamide</strong> <strong>Casings</strong> are high performance casings for a wide range of processed meat,<br />
poultry and cheese applications. Manufactured using multilayer extrusion technology, VISFLEX ®<br />
<strong>Casings</strong> are tailored to meet the processing and shelf storage requirements for a variety of<br />
products. Exceptional barrier and shrink properties make VISFLEX ® <strong>Casings</strong> ideal for water,<br />
steam and smokehouse processing.<br />
Characteristics<br />

through the film, maximizes product yield<br />
during cooking, and prevents weight loss<br />

casing for product branding as well as nutrition and ingredient panels.<br />

Product Usage<br />
SOAKING: Prior to use, casings can be soaked<br />
in cool water, 70°F (20°C) maximum, for 30 min.<br />
Depending on the application, VISFLEX ® casings can<br />
be used without presoaking.<br />
STUFFING / CLIPPING: It is important to select the<br />
proper clip size and clipping pressure to assure a<br />
tight fit without causing damage to the casing.<br />
Storage & Handling<br />
Store VISFLEX ® <strong>Polyamide</strong> <strong>Casings</strong> in a cool, dry place avoiding proximity to heat sources as<br />
well as hot or freezing storage areas. Pre-humidified casings should be stored at temperatures<br />
between 55° to 75° F (12° - 24° C) and should remain sealed in original containers until ready for<br />
use. Unused casings should be kept in airtight bags and replaced in the original carton to maintain<br />
proper moisture content. Keep stock current by using the oldest stock first. To avoid possible<br />
damage, it is imperative that knives, sharp instruments and hooks not be used to open cartons.<br />
