Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA)District 10 Chorus FestivalCongratulations to the 32 students from Emmaus High School who were selected toparticipate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 10 ChorusFestival. This year’s festival will be hosted by Easton High School on January13-15, 2011, and will include over 200 of the best high school choral singers from Berks, Carbon,Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, and Schuylkill Counties. For the fourth year in a row, EmmausHigh School had the most students who qualified out of 65 participating high schools. The 32 studentsinclude (photo below):Seniors: Drew Gehman, Kayleigh Jardine, Maya Kouassi, Daniel Lomauro, Matthew Phillipes,Jennifer Pytlewski, Taylor Ressler, Matthew Rhodes, Danielle Verghese, Julia Wagner, and JacobWeir.Juniors: Jordan Biery, Wesly Clerge, Amber Coe, Kathryn Domyan, Breanna Galante, SydnieKeddington, Robert Lamb, Molly Lichtenwalner, Andrew Licini, Christina McGee, Theodor Swanson,Lauren Teague, Micah Vinovskis, and Eric Wiscount.Sophomores: Logan Beck, Tyler Brown, Christina Cilento, Laura Erle, Jacquelyn Hamati,Gwendolyn Osterwald, and Marshall Winston.Of the over 800 students who auditioned, approximately 27 students were chosen for each of eightvoice parts. Fifteen Emmaus High School students were ranked in the top 10. In Soprano I, BreannaGalante ranked 1 st , Gwen Osterwald ranked 2 nd , Katy Domyan ranked 3 rd , and Taylor Resslerranked 7th. Julia Wagner ranked 5th in Soprano II. Kayleigh Jardine ranked 1 st , Laura Erle ranked4 th , and Molly Lichtenwalner ranked 10th in Alto I. In Alto II, Christina Cilento was ranked 4 th andJacqui Hamati was 5th. Matthew Rhodes ranked 4 th and Andrew Licini was 8 th in Tenor I. WesClerge ranked 4 th in Tenor II.
