Most recent ones areWEEE directive - will affect mechanical andelectrical division - not sure how it will affectthem in terms of finance etc and customers -can they contractually make them responsible.the hazardous waste legislations - a bitirritating at times, due to no of sites and oneach of site they will produce a little hazardouswaste - this is impractical to register every sitefor a small quantity of this type of waste - thishas been difficult. also, waste managementlicensing, exemptions are hard to understand, get put off trying to apply for one, applicationperiod takes awhile and its costly. EnvironmentAgency are hard to work with at times.Exemptions - recycled aggregates levy, EAdeem this to be waste, alot of people usingrecycled aggregates but EA still deem this tobe waste, still have to use waste transfernotes, don’t know if they should register this asan exemption. Surplus materials now bigbusiness, can exchange materials on websiteetc, but how do they keep a track of this, egthrough waste transfer notes, they aresometimes forced to go to waste contractor sothey have a papertrail.
