NORTH CAROLINA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE CLASSIFICATION SYSTEMThe North Carolina <strong>Administrative</strong> Code (<strong>NC</strong>AC) has four major subdivisions <strong>of</strong> rules. Two <strong>of</strong> these, titles andchapters, are mandatory. The major subdivision <strong>of</strong> the <strong>NC</strong>AC is the title. Each major department in the NorthCarolina executive branch <strong>of</strong> government has been assigned a title number. Titles are further broken down intochapters which shall be numerical in order.
