Social Studies Text Book ReviewIt is recommended that permission be granted for the Office of Secondary Curriculum andInstruction to conduct textbook and technology resource reviews for the Global Studies and FinancialLiteracy course(s), November 15 - November 19, <strong>2010</strong>, 12:30-3:30 pm.There will be no cost to the Board.2. (A) Financial LiteracyIt is recommended that the Financial Literacy requirement N.J.A.C. 6A:8-5.1 be satisfied for the<strong>2010</strong> – 2011 school year by infusing the Financial Literacy component into Global Studies. GlobalStudies is a History requirement for all ninth grade students. Students completing the Financial Literacycomponent, will receive 2.5 credits.2. (B) Personal Financial Literacy (PFL) InfusionIt is recommended that permission be granted for Secondary Curriculum and InstructionDepartment to have 9 th graders who take Global Studies to have the Personal Financial Literacy (PFL)Infusion pilot presented during 2 nd and 3 rd marking periods, to comply with the New Jersey statemandate. A 2.5 credit will be added to the current 5 credits for Global Studies, giving a total credit of 7.5.There will be no cost to the Board.B. Bonsall Family School (Kirwin)1. InternshipIt is recommended that permission be granted for Ms. Marie Onyeani, Bonsall Family SchoolMath Teacher, to complete her internships for Master in Leadership Education Program, WilimingtonUniversity.
