Mel White was videoed and gave a presentation at the AEU Middle Years Conference. Her work will be published in the future in a forthcoming book. The Principal was invited to speak about this project on the video which will be published in 2013. COMMUNITY <strong>Brighton</strong> turned 60 years of age Racheal Leahcar performed at the Jazz Cabaret. Assistant Principal, David Thomson, produced an outstanding collection of published materials in including a commemorative book, calendar, banners and signage. A 60 th time capsule was raised and a new one created by the Event Management students. Special 60 th anniversary events were held by Volleyball in Term 1; Music in Term 2; The South Australian Living Artists in Term 3 and the Gala dinner in Term 4. The City of Holdfast Bay honoured the 2011 Poppy Drop event as their Event of the Year award for <strong>2012</strong> at the January Australia day ceremony. The F1 in <strong>School</strong>s Championship win was honoured by the Council as the 2013 Event of the Year. The online newsletter continued to provide high quality publishing to communicate school events and celebrate success every month. It extends to 28 pages to accommodate the plethora of student and staff achievements. The new web site has improved communication of current information and added to the school’s professional image. 5
