More than 130Volkswagen group models currentlyemit under 140g of CO 2/km, whilethe majority of its makes have an everexpanding range of low-CO 2vehicles,BlueMotion at Volkswagen, GreenLineat Škoda and Ecomotive at Seat.With the combination of increasinglygreen models, environmentally awaremotorists and government CO 2-basedincentives, the CO 2emission profilefor the makes distributed by D’IeterenAuto in 2010 is:> some 32,000 new vehicle registrationswith emissions of less than105g of CO 2/km, compared with approximately5,600 in 2009;> more than 10,000 new vehicle registrationswith emissions of 105 to115g of CO 2/km, compared withroughly 6,200 in 2009.Services: own initiativesD’Ieteren Auto is developing a rangeof different solutions to help its customersto reduce their own footprint.For instance:> makes are offering customers ecodrivingclasses;> Volkswagen is asking customers tooffset the impact on the environmentof their car by helping to financeenvironmental projects inemerging countries;> D’Ieteren Car Centers offer courte-sy bikes and scooters, in addition tocourtesy cars, when customers’ vehiclesare in for repair or service;> to further cut out unnecessary mileage,dealerships have also installedfully equipped areas designed forcustomers waiting for their cars tobe serviced or repaired;> D’Ieteren Lease CO 2emissions andfuel consumption are monitoredand a report sent to customers on amonthly basis;> D’Ieteren Auto launched a pilot of anew mobility solution, known as MyMove, in early-2011. The project isa vehicle-sharing and managementsystem for users in the workplaceor in residential buildings. Using asophisticated system for managingbookings and routing, the systemaims to optimise sustainable mobilityin increasingly congested urbanareas. During the fi rst phase of thepilot, the shared My Move fl eet includesVolkswagen BlueMotion vehiclesand a number of electric carsand bikes. The pilot is limited to afew companies in the Brussels area.My Move is set to continue untilmid-2011, when the project will beassessed.
