Drayton valleybottle depotWe are Proud Supporters of the three R’sREDUCE REUSE RECYCLEThe Drayton Valley Bottle Depot operates under theBeverage Container Management Board of Alberta. Ourmain objective is collecting beverage containers for recyclingand keeping them from our landfills, assisting in Alberta’soverall environmental efforts. “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle” ismore than a catch phrase for us; it is a practice that producesa cleaner Drayton Valley and a cleaner Alberta. We areassociated with the Beehive Support Services Associationwhich provides 24 hour support for those who have anintellectual disability; we contribute to their revenue as well asemploy individuals under the umbrella of BSSA. We supportour community at large with the different services that weprovide such as our Pick Up Service. This is for anyone inthe community who wishes us to pick up their containersinstead of bringing them in yourself. All that is needed is acall to our Pick Up line at 780-621-2233 to set it up. We striveto assist in fund raising for groups here at the depot. We haveaccounts available for many Drayton Valley schools, charitiesand other groups that any amount of containers or moneycan be donated to, from the beverage containers customershave brought in. Just ask your service provider. We will assistanyway we can with bottle drives that groups wish to haveor you can arrange for us to put on a presentation aboutrecycling beverage containers for your group. All BottleDepots in Alberta support the “Cans for Kids” program wherewe collect donated beverage containers and the refundsgo to Children’s Hospitals such as the Stollery in Edmonton.It is in our mission statement to assist in having a cleanerenvironment even if it is only one container at a time.All beverage containers1 litre or under = 10 centsover 1 litre = 25 cents.We open our doors:Monday 9:00 – 5:00,Tuesday 9:00 – 7:00,Wednesday 9:00 – 5:00,Thursday 9:00 – 7:00,Friday 9:00 – 5:00,Saturday 9:00 – 4:30.We are closed all Sundays and Statutory HolidaysSpecial Features• We have a Pick Up Service for anyone inDrayton Valley for a percentage of the refundof the containers• Don’t want to wait for us to count and sortyour beverage containers, drop them off andwe will call you when your is order is complete• We want to assist in the collection ofcontainers in Drayton Valley so we have binsfor events to use• Three sorting stalls, come to the entrance andwhen a stall becomes available, just bring yourcontainers in, we will sort and count them• We use a POR computer system so you canwatch the amount of your refund grow on thescreen as we sort them• An account system for donations to any school,charity or group. Come in and we will add yourgroup to our list• We have a charity of the month that you candonate to by dropping off your containers inthe mega bags at our front entrance• We will assist Bottle Drives with door hangersand a poster on our wall in the depot.
