requests, which includes medical. The shop executed<br />
over $6M in purchases.<br />
DEFENSE MoVEMENT<br />
The Defense Movement Branch is responsible for<br />
unit movement planning, collection of mobilization<br />
movement data, and military air deployment/<br />
redeployment requirements for 120 OKARNG units.<br />
This section manages utilization, maintenance and<br />
administration of 168 federally leased vehicles. This<br />
section also operates the State Movement Control<br />
Center (SMCC) which coordinates with local and state<br />
agencies on behalf of all Department of Defense<br />
(DOD) agencies and manages all military ground<br />
traffic by functioning as the approval authority for all<br />
DOD convoys operating in the state of <strong>Oklahoma</strong>. The<br />
SMCC has approved 235 convoy clearances and 240<br />
oversize/overweight permits this year.<br />
CoMMAND SUPPLY DISCIPLINE<br />
The Command Supply Discipline (CSDP) section is<br />
responsible for inspecting and providing logistical<br />
guidance and expertise to all OKARNG units. The<br />
shop consists of one full time federal employee. The<br />
CSDP section conducted over 40 inspections and a<br />
large amount of assistance visits.<br />
FooD SERVICE SECTIoN<br />
The Food Service Section is responsible for<br />
managing the food service budget, rations (prepared<br />
and unprepared) and all OKARNG kitchen equipment<br />
and personnel training. The Food Service Section<br />
managed and executed a ration budget of over<br />
$2M while providing assistance and support to 120<br />
OKARNG units.<br />
SURFACE MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT oFFICE<br />
(SMMo)<br />
The SMMO is responsible for planning, executing<br />
and directing the Surface Equipment Maintenance<br />
Program. The office implements the <strong>Army</strong> system<br />
of maintenance throughout the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>Army</strong><br />
<strong>National</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> to include training, managing onhand<br />
equipment readiness. The SMMO employs a<br />
work force of 12 federal employees generating an<br />
annual payroll of approximately $670,000 dollars.<br />
These employees provide technical and operational<br />
control of the Combined Support Maintenance Shop,<br />
Maneuver Area Training Equipment Site, Unit Training<br />
Equipment Site, and Field Maintenance Shops<br />
though out the State. All maintenance activities<br />
perform field level maintenance repairs to equipment<br />
and are ready to support unit and battalion training<br />
programs in addition to state or federal mobilizations.<br />
The SMMO also has the responsibility to conduct<br />
Home Station Field Reset. Field Reset is the<br />
completion of field level maintenance and repairs to<br />
bring equipment to Technical Manual, (TM) safety,<br />
services standards, and perform remediation of<br />
delayed desert damage degradation. The Surface<br />
Maintenance Activities supervised over 118 Full<br />
Time <strong>National</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> Operations Support (FTNGDOS)<br />
soldiers in support of RESET throughout fiscal year<br />
2009. At the conclusion of FY 10, OKARNG had<br />
obligated approx. 6 million of RESET funding for labor<br />
and supplies. Of the approx. 6 million, 3.2 million was<br />
obligated for supplies, parts, and services. 2.8 million<br />
was obligated for RESET Active Duty Operational<br />
Support (ADOS) Labor.<br />
CoMbINED SUPPoRT MAINTENANCE SHoP (CSMS)<br />
The CSMS activity is co-located with the<br />
Surface Maintenance Management Office at 3745<br />
Thunderbird Street, Norman, OK. This Field Support<br />
Maintenance facility of approximately 89,000<br />
square feet was constructed in 1996. The activity<br />
employs a total of 64 federal technicians and one<br />
state employee generating an annual payroll of<br />
approximately 2.5 million dollars. These employees<br />
perform highly technical maintenance tasks on all<br />
surface equipment belonging to the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> <strong>Army</strong><br />
<strong>National</strong> <strong>Guard</strong>.<br />
MANEUVER AREA TRAINING EQUIPMENT SITE<br />
(MATES)<br />
Located at Fort Sill, near Lawton, OK in Comanche<br />
County, is the site for MATES #72. The activity<br />
employs a total of 35 federal technicians and one<br />
state employee generating an annual payroll of<br />
approximately 1.6 million dollars This activity serves<br />
as a storage and repair site for pre-positioned field<br />
artillery equipment that is ready for immediate<br />
use. The equipment positioned here is available for<br />
units conducting Annual Training and Inactive Duty<br />
Training. The full-time support force of 33 federal<br />
