82nd ADT wraps up pre-mobilization trainingRob SchuetteFort McCoy Public AffairsA unique mixture of <strong>Wisconsin</strong><strong>National</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> personnel who willperform a unique but vital agriculturalmission in Afghanistan conducted predeploymenttraining at Fort McCoy inOctober.The 82nd Agribusiness DevelopmentTeam (ADT) will conduct agriculturaldevelopment planning, assessment andsupport activities in Kunar Province toexpand legal agriculture/agribusiness,services, markets, and education to reducerural poverty, increase employmentopportunities in agriculture serviceindustries and improve agricultureeducation.Col. Darrel Feucht, 82nd ADTcommander, said the unit is comprised ofSoldiers and Airmen from the <strong>Wisconsin</strong>Army and Air <strong>National</strong> <strong>Guard</strong>. Feuchtbrings agricultural know-how to themission with his agriculture degree fromthe University of <strong>Wisconsin</strong>.<strong>Wisconsin</strong> joins many other states inproviding an ADT to support the Afghanpeople, he said.
