He recounted the turmoil theformer nation of Yugoslavia experiencedfollowing the collapse of the SovietUnion.“All heck broke out in the early1990s,” Dunbar said. “There was a lotof bloodshed and a lot of fighting alongreligious lines.”The United States became involved,and helped broker the Dayton PeaceAccord in 1995.
