Ted Metzgar, commander of the<strong>Wisconsin</strong> Air <strong>National</strong> <strong>Guard</strong>’s 128th AirRefueling Wing in Milwaukee, deployedwith a number of his staff and commandedactive duty, Air <strong>National</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> and AirForce Reserve Airmen.“It was an honor to have commandeda wing dedicated to the successfulcompletion of its mission,” Metzgar said.“I was impressed with the professionalismand patriotism of our Airmen.”While deployed, Metzgar commandedthe 313th Air Expeditionary Wingin Western Europe, providing aerialrefueling to aircraft supporting OperationUnified Protector — a NATO-led missionenforcing a no-fly zone over the nationof Libya and providing humanitarianassistance to the Libyan civilianpopulation, in accordance with U.N.Security Council Resolution 1973.The 128th Air Refueling Wing is hometo 12 KC-135R Stratotankers and morethan 900 Airmen with a primary missionof aerial refueling.Col.
