VillageChurch Breaks Ground on Rimer Pond
VillageChurch broke ground at their new site
on Rimer Pond Road in Blythewood on April 5.

• Fairlawn United Methodist Women and Men are
sponsoring a Spring Fling on Saturday, April 25 from
8:00 am until 1:00 pm at 9203 Wilson Boulevard.
Outside spaces are being rented for $20 for individuals
to sell crafts or yard sale items. The women will be
selling their “homemade” casseroles and the men will
have a concession booth. The money is raised to support
local missions. To reserve a space, please call Virginia

• Church Golf Tournament to Raise Funds for Youth
Programs. A golf tournament to be hosted May 11 at
the Golf Club of South Carolina at Crickentree by St.
David’s Episcopal Church will donate proceeds to
the church’s Vacation Bible School and other youth
programs. St. David’s has opened registration to the
public and encourages golfers and their companies to
play as well as to purchase hole sponsorships. Deadline
for entry is May 4. The tournament will begin at 1 p.m.
with a shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded for the longest
drive on two holes, closest to the pin on two holes, the
number of water balls per team, the number of trees hit
per team, and the best dressed male and female golfers.
Up to 30 four-person teams can be accommodated.
Beverages and snacks will be provided on the course and
an awards banquet will be held immediately following
the tournament. Crickentree is located at 1084 Langford
Road, Blythewood, S.C. Cost for 18 holes plus cart
is $75 per person. Hole sponsorships are $50. Call St.

• Rehoboth Baptist Church to Host a Spring
Revival. Rehoboth Baptist Church, located at 4646
Hard Scrabble Road in Northeast Columbia, will hold
a Spring Revival. The Revival will be held for three
nights: Wednesday April 29th, Thursday April 30th and
Friday May 1st 2009. Services will begin each night at
7:00 pm. The entire community is invited to worship
