THE CITY OF PITT MEADOWS<strong>HIGHWAY</strong> and <strong>TRAFFIC</strong> <strong>BYLAW</strong> No. 2260Consolidated VersionPage 18 the maximum gross weight carried on such group of axles does notexceed thirteen thousand seven hundred (13,700) kilograms,q. a truck, truck tractor, trailer, or semi-trailer having attached thereto anygroup of two (2) axles the centers of which are more than 1.85 metersapart, measured longitudinally, unless one of the axles is a steeringaxle or an axle that is articulated in the manner of a steering axle andprevents any lateral movement between the road surface and the tireson the wheels attached to that axle when the vehicle is turning,r. an oversize vehicle or load on a Sunday or general holiday,s. a vehicle any axle of which is carrying a gross weight in excess of ninethousand one hundred (9,100) kilograms,t. a vehicle loaded in such a manner that the gross weight on any wheelthereof is in excess of one hundred ten (110) kilograms per ten (10)millimeters of width of tire in the case of pneumatic tires or fifty-five(55) kilograms per ten (10) millimeters of width of tire in the case ofmetal or solid rubber tires,u. a vehicle or combination of vehicles having a gross weight on anygroup of two (2) or more consecutive axles exceeding the gross weightindicated in Schedule 1 hereto opposite to the appropriate distancebetween the centers of the first and last axle of the group of axles ofthat vehicle or combination of vehicles measured longitudinally to thenearest distance as set out in that schedule,v. a vehicle or combination of vehicles carrying a gross weight on thedrive axle or axles that is less than twenty (20) percent of the grossvehicle weight of the vehicle or combination of vehicles,w. a vehicle so loaded that any part of the load extends beyond the sidesof the vehicle, except as provided in Subsection 7.1.a.,x. a vehicle, other than a horse-drawn vehicle, the wheels of which arenot equipped with pneumatic tires in good order,y. a vehicle or combination of vehicles the load of which extends morethan 1.85 meters beyond the back of the vehicle or combination ofvehicles,z. a vehicle unless the vehicle is constructed and loaded as to preventany of its load from dropping, shifting, leaking, or otherwise escapingtherefrom, provided that sand may be dropped on a highway to secure#55701v3
