Have helpers in each center to help childrenwith the activities. Kids can stay in one center or travel to more than one.Happy BabiesSet Up: Set up a small altar or devotional table with a tablecloth <strong>and</strong> lightedbattery-powered tea c<strong>and</strong>les. Gather the baby dolls <strong>and</strong> the baby supplies <strong>and</strong>create a nursery near the devotional table.The first week, kids enjoy free play at this center. You may introduce the storyof <strong>Hannah</strong> Prays for a Child this first week. Our story today is about a womanwho prays for a baby. By the second week, kids may begin to reenact the storyof <strong>Hannah</strong> without prompting. See how kids incorporate their own ideas intoa reenactment. Notice <strong>and</strong> comment if kids bring elements of the story intotheir play. Your playing sounds like our story about <strong>Hannah</strong>. By the third week,deliberately ask the kids to reenact the story.
