Look for Squiggles,the caterpillar, in each picture. Ask kids what they think Squiggles is feeling ordoing. As youread these parts of the story, keep track on your fingers of how many times <strong>Samuel</strong>is called on.Ask the following questions, allowing time for kids to answer:How many times did God wake up <strong>Samuel</strong>? Choose one kid to st<strong>and</strong> in the middle of thecircle. As the group chants, the kid in the middle chooses a way to pray. This prayeridea may be serious, silly, typical, or br<strong>and</strong> new. The rest of the kids imitate thisway to pray. When the chant is finished, the kid in the middle picks someone newto lead the chant.
