If your room iscarpeted, arrange to use a tile-floored room, or else provide tarps, newspaperor plastic coverings for the floor. Cut craft paper into sheets large enoughfor wrapping a medium-sized gift. Make individual painting areas by placingnewspaper on the floor with a piece of craft paper on top of the newspaper. Makesure each painting place has space to walk around it. Nearby, set up a kid-sizedpaint center with paint bottles, stamps, rags, trays, <strong>and</strong> smocks.Gather kids at the paint center. Cover the jam with some more batter. Support kids takingturns spooning the batter into the muffin tins, adding the surprise, <strong>and</strong> addingsome more batter. When all pans are full, send the muffins off for baking. Whilemuffins are baking, wash h<strong>and</strong>s again, especially if you used raw egg. Also, cleanup the snack table with kids’ help.
