QRS-<strong>14</strong>43ZH-1, Version 3.0Calculated Effective Ingestion DosesThe calculated annual effective ingestion dose <strong>for</strong> each of the four variant cases, at 100year intervals following the completion of the cap, are given in Table 5-4, Table 5-5,Table 5-6 <strong>and</strong> Table 5-7 <strong>for</strong> Case2_InvA_C<strong>14</strong>rel, Case2_var1_InvA, Case2_InvA_S3M<strong>and</strong> Case2_InvB respectively.In order to explore how varying assumptions associated with the variant near-fieldcases influence calculated effective ingestion doses, Figure 5-8, Figure 5-9 <strong>and</strong> Figure5-10 show the calculated annual effective ingestion doses <strong>for</strong> the reference PEG (C) <strong>for</strong>each of the cases (including the reference case).Of particular interest is the impact of the alternative near-field assumptions oncalculated impacts associated with the EDA vaults. For the case in which the PIER B2inventory, which has a higher total inventory of C-<strong>14</strong>, particularly in Vaults 15 to 17, isconsidered (Case2_InvB) considerably higher ingestion doses <strong>for</strong> the PEGs arecalculated than <strong>for</strong> any of the other cases.
