Understanding Instrument BasicsUnderstanding Instrument BasicsThe CS-3 Magnetometer Sensor consists of a sensor head and sensorelectronics that are interconnected by a cable. This section providesschematics and descriptions for each of these components and theirsubsystems.Sensor HeadThe sensor head houses electro-optical detection system. All the parts of thesensor head, including the outside plastic housing, are made of carefullyscreened nonmagnetic materials.
