Understanding Instrument BasicsCold BootOnce you have unpacked your CG-5, you should perform a cold boot to resetthe instrument. This need only be done once after each total power down. Onvery rare occasions, you may find it necessary to carry out a cold boot (andonly upon specific instructions from our customer service department).Important:PRESSSETUP4JKLYour data will be erased after you performed a coldboot. Should you have usable data in your CG-5,dump your data in the USB mode before performinga cold boot. Please refer to “Dumping Data with theUSB Port” on page 3-60.To perform a cold boot, do the following:Press and hold the SETUP/4/JKL key.StartupANDPRESSON / OFFand press the ON / OFF key to Power up.
