Understanding Instrument BasicsTurning the CG-5 Display OnPRESSON / OFFTo turn your CG-5 display and microprocessor on,press the ON / OFF key. The instrument temperaturecontroller and most of the electronics are notaffected by the ON/OFF key and remain powered upprovided at least one charged battery and/or theexternal power supply are connected.Note:If your CG-5 does not turn on, or the screen is eithertotally blank or dark, please see Chapter 5,“Maintaining Your CG-5 and Trouble-shooting” andthe “Trouble-shooting” topic on page 5-40.StartupAdjusting the ContrastPRESSDISPLAY6PQRIf the screen is either too dark or too light, press theDISPLAY key.
