Auditing Brokerage Account Statements
How to determine if a trading strategy is actually producing what it claims
There are several strategy developers out there (most we feel are garbage) that provide potential
buyers with various kinds of track records. Some will show a document that has the percent gain or
loss per month or year, with no trade-by-trade to verify or brokerage statements to match the
strategy’s trade signals. Some will provide you with a “Back Test”, which is good to see how it could
have performed in past markets, but they can be manipulated and optimized to show only good
returns and not what happens when it’s in a LIVE market.
What we provide for you is better than a Back Test and track record. Most strategy developers will
give you every BS excuse in the world when you ask for a copy of their trade signals, track record
and Brokerage Account Statements to verify. We on the other hand have nothing to hide.
In this documentation we present one clients’ account statement that traded using the Trend
Tracker Investment Strategy and has given us the authorization to show their statement.
We also include a copy of all the trade signals from the trading strategy, so you can match the
signal with the execution in the accounts. The Trade Signals are what you or your broker of choice
will receive to place the entries, exits and protective stops. When reviewing, you will notice some
wins and some losses, proving that this is producing REAL MONEY profits. As you make profits you
will have the option to add additional markets, increase contract amounts or stay at the current
portfolio basket.
These accounts are completely controlled by you; (even if you have your account Auto-Traded)
