ANKERSMID AMP 26CMini Diaphragm Vacuum PumpPrincipleThe basic construction of the AMP diaphragm gas samplingpumps is simple. An elastic diaphragm is moved up and downby an eccentric (see illustration). On the down-stroke it drawsthe air or gas being handled through the inlet valve. On the upstrokethe diaphragm forcesthe medium through the exhaust valve and out of the head.The compression chamber is hermetically separated from thedrive mechanism by the diaphragm. This patented diaphragm was stress-optimizedusing the Finite Elements method. As a result, we were able tomake the pumps smaller while increasing the service life of thediaphragm.
