The transfer time is approximately 2 hours each way.The foundation of Karlovy Vary was laid by the Czech kingCharles IV mid of the 14th century. Its origin and developmentwas always connected with beneficial effects of thehot mineral springs. The history of the spa is characterizedby ups and downs. Becher based on a recipe ofthe English physician Dr. Frobrig. Due to the growing industrialdemand for it, the production was started in 1807.The oak wood of the barrels, the atmosphere, and the temperatureof the cellars guarantee the high quality.The history of the “Moser” crystal is inextricably linkedwith the name of its founder, Ludwig Moser (1833 – 1916).In 1857, this skilful engraver and talented businessmangained recognition for establishing the company thatbears his name. From its beginning, Moser focused onthe production of blown, hand-cut, engraved and paintedglass. Moser glass soon gained a worldwide reputation forthe quality of its glass, perfection of workmanship and artistry,because the products are outstanding in their purity,brilliance, elegance and classical proportions. The name comes from the natural topographyof the town, especially from the tightly crookedmeander of the Vltava River. The word Český simply meansCzech in Bohemian as opposed to Moravian or Silesian.The town was first mentioned in documents from 1253.The Castle of Český Krumlov, with its architecture, culturaltradition, and expanse, ranks among the most importanthistoric sights in the central European region. The constructiondevelopment from the 14th to 19th centuries iswell-preserved in the original layout, material structure,interior installation and architectural detail.A worthy assessment of the area, by both domestic andforeign experts, resulted in the acquisition of the historicmonument preservation status.
