30Beyond AcademicsStudents Performing at Exuberance 2014At <strong>Asia</strong>-<strong>Pacific</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Management</strong> students are exposed to various facets <strong>of</strong> life. The students are groomed to develop not only asprospective managers but also as outstanding human beings. They are encouraged to perform in a team. For this, there are a number <strong>of</strong>activity committees <strong>of</strong> the students which function very enthusiastically.Students Extra-Curricular CommitteeThis Committee is responsible to build a spirit <strong>of</strong> healthycompetition by organizing sports events. To get a respite fromthe usual rigors <strong>of</strong> educational life, a variety <strong>of</strong> cultural events areorganized in the <strong>Institute</strong> from time to time. The <strong>Institute</strong> has anin-house musical band. Inter-college meets are also organized forour students to interact with outside world.Students Academic Affairs CommitteeThis Committee manages to take feedback from studentson course delivery, suggestions for library improvement andmanaging the activities <strong>of</strong> various management function clubslike HR club, Marketing Club, Finance club, etc.Students Infrastructure CommitteeThis Committee coordinates with various IT affairs like theadministrative aspects <strong>of</strong> LAN, Web Page andIntranet, and also to give futuristic ideas for improving theinfrastructure.Students Placement CommitteeThis Committee assists Centre for Corporate Relations (CCR) andplays a critical and active role in all summer and final <strong>placement</strong>related activities.Students Alumni CommitteeThis Committee maintains the linkages between the students andthe alumni for a life long relationship. The pr<strong>of</strong>essional success <strong>of</strong>the Alumni provides an impetus and a strong motivation to excelwith the times. A formal Alumni Meet is organized annually forface-to face interaction, in addition to regular meetings with theAlumni. It serves as a platform for Alumni to share their experiencewith the students which helps in the pr<strong>of</strong>essional development <strong>of</strong>the present students.Students Publication CommitteeThis Committee looks into the possibility <strong>of</strong> collecting andediting write-ups in the fields <strong>of</strong> <strong>Management</strong>s and InformationTechnology. This Committee manages in bringing out Newsletter,magazines and any other publication. Maintaining AIM web pagecontent including souvenirs.Students Editorial CommitteeThis Committee looks with assisting the Editor, <strong>Asia</strong>-<strong>Pacific</strong>Review, the Newsletter <strong>of</strong> AIM.Anti RaggingThe culture in the AIM is conducive and the close interactionbetween the Seniors and the Juniors are such that there hasbeen no occasion <strong>of</strong> any ragging in this <strong>Institute</strong>.
