Foreign Direct Investments ( FDI) in the domestic economy development, while highlyappreciating the benefits of Kosovo enterprises ,from free flow of capital and from themarket economy in general. Contrary, anti-globalists economists are trying to argue thatopposite occurred in Kosovo economy, and in its business. Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) serving to multinational enterprises to exploit natural and human resources indeveloping countries, including Kosovo, too. Meanwhile, the growth of internationaltrade would paralyze business activities of domestic enterprises due to lack of capacity(human and financial), to face with stronger competition of multiple enterprises ofdeveloped countries.By this paper work, I will try to juxtapose international and Kosovar expert's opinions,and to argue that the process of globalization is an inevitable global development, for itseffects in Kosovo economy, to identify the challenges and opportunities arising from thisdevelopment for the economy and enterprises in Kosovo.The effects of globalization and free action of the multinational corporations outside thestate borders and their greater on financial and technological strength, certainly wouldcompel enterprises operating mainly within national borders, to modify their tactics byadapting new global developments. It should also, a detailed analysis of the effect ofForeign Direct Investment (FDI), in the economic development of developing countries,and Kosovo in our case. What is real contribution of these investments on economicgrowth and the social welfare in Kosovo, by considering challenges, risks, andopportunities that bring these investments for economic and social operators in thecountry? Which are the advantages and disadvantages of being in Kosovo, in a globalmarket against alternatives of a segmented market in the national geographic variable?Will be also a problem statement for which I will try to find an answer.In the end, Kosovo policies that encourage Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in theconditions of economic globalization will be analyzed and on how to guide Kosovo forthe future and her challenges in the market economy, the ideas will be provided.Key words: Globalization, Foreign Direct Investments, Kosovo Economy, globalmarket23
