Development of business fields The total portfolio consists of the portfolio of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and the investments of DBG Auslands-Holding GmbH, our investment arm for businesses sited outside the European economic region prior to the second amendment to the German Law on Private Equity Investment Companies. Subsequent to this amendment, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG has been able to directly invest outside the European Union. At October 31, 2000, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG invested “ 324 million in 50 companies. The following table gives a detailed survey of the portfolio development of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, including DBG Auslands- Holding, a subsidiary of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG.
