by an enthralling talk<br />
by Dr. Stefan Tweraser,<br />

Deutschland GmbH. By <strong>of</strong>fering<br />
intuitive examples from everyday life, he<br />
outlined why creativity is fundamental to the<br />
success <strong>of</strong> Google and how the company manages<br />
to maintain high levels <strong>of</strong> creativity within<br />
its workforce. The second half <strong>of</strong> the Leadership<br />

demonstrated that creativity truly functions as a<br />
value driver across different companies and<br />
branches. Two findings are <strong>of</strong> particular interest:<br />
First, creativity is not a function <strong>of</strong> age.<br />
As long as there is an affirmative working environment,<br />
creative people maintain their creative<br />
energies throughout their entire life. Second,<br />
customers are a major source <strong>of</strong> creativity.<br />
Companies that manage to actively involve their<br />
customers in the process <strong>of</strong> improving and developing<br />
goods are more likely to achieve a<br />
competitive advantage in the marketplace. The<br />
next Leadership Talk will take place on April 22<br />
and 23, 2010.<br />
