1 st European MBA Career Fair<br />
<strong>HHL</strong> MBA alumni<br />
On April 26, 2010, the 1 st European MBA Career<br />
Fair will take place in Berlin. The fair is a<br />
development <strong>of</strong> the MBA Career Fair that was<br />
held last year for the sixth time and continues<br />
to represent an excellent chance for companies<br />
to recruit international MBA graduates<br />
from leading European business schools, in-<br />
In summer 2009, the second class <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Master Program in <strong>Management</strong> (MSc2) grad-<br />
uated from <strong>HHL</strong>. Its placement pattern is<br />
quite similar to that <strong>of</strong> the previous class.<br />
Consulting continues to be the most attractive<br />
employer branch with 47.1%.<br />
However, this year the banking and financial<br />
sector was the second most popular choice<br />
among graduates <strong>of</strong> MSc2, with 17.6% starting<br />
their career in this area. With 11.8%<br />
each, the industrial sector shared third place<br />
with start-ups and family businesses as well<br />
as postgraduate programs.<br />

All the business schools attending are<br />
AACSB and/or EQUIS accredited and operate<br />
under the aegis <strong>of</strong> these internationally<br />
respected accrediting agencies. The career<br />
fair <strong>of</strong>fers companies opportunities for meeting<br />
MBA graduates in workshops, pre-<br />
selected personal interviews, company presen-<br />
tations and an open forum. About 250 MBA<br />
students with multicultural origins and diverse<br />
academic backgrounds such as engineering,<br />
business studies and social sciences<br />
are expected to participate in the fair.<br />
The 1 st European MBA Career Fair is also<br />
part <strong>of</strong> the new collaboration between<br />
Audencia Nantes, <strong>HHL</strong> and MIP, the three<br />
business schools which formed the JOINUS<br />
business education alliance in Paris in April<br />
2009. By sharing their expertise, best practices<br />
and corporate relations, the three<br />
schools are providing their MBA students<br />
and graduates with superior services, increased<br />
networking possibilities and a collaborative<br />
alumni network, and they will also better<br />
address the evolving needs <strong>of</strong> businesses.<br />
