students earn<br />
academic honors<br />
MCH students who attend<br />
public school earned a variety<br />
of academic honors during the<br />
spring semester.<br />
Students attended Waco<br />
High School, University High<br />
School and A.J. Moore Academy<br />
in the Waco ISD, and youth<br />
from the residential program in<br />
Waxahachie attended schools<br />
in their community.<br />
Yesenia earned recognition<br />
on the A Honor Roll. Students<br />
named to the A/B Honor Roll<br />
were Josh, Harold, Nahom,<br />
Calvin, Abenezer, Mindy and<br />
Simona.<br />
Five students – Harold,<br />
Lauren, Adam, Abenezer and<br />
Brianna – were inducted into<br />
the National Honor Society,<br />
and two students – Jennifer<br />
and Essence – were selected as<br />
“Academic Achievers” by the<br />
Waco school district.<br />
Two residents from the<br />
MCH program in Waxahachie<br />
– Sarah and Andrew – were<br />
inducted into the Beta Club<br />
honor society.<br />
“The majority of public<br />
school students this year were<br />
highly focused on their advanced<br />
academic courses,” said<br />
Betty Morrow, school coordinator.<br />
“They completed advanced<br />
placement courses as well as<br />
dual credit college courses. Most<br />
of them will have completed<br />
one to two semesters of college<br />
hours by the time they graduate<br />
from high school. They have<br />
learned that their hard work in<br />
high school will pay off in time<br />
and money in college.”<br />

high school UIL spring meet<br />
