7 INTERFACE Interface of GODS: Lands of Infinity SEcontains many options which you will find very useful while playing the game: Time You can always check the time in the upper-left corner of the screen. Sun rises at 6 o’clock in the morning in GODS, twilight comes after 7 o’clock in the evening. Compass You can use compass in the upper-right corner of the screen to navigate your characters according to the local map. It will always lead you towards the right direction. Formation (ALT+F) You can find formation button in the lower-left corner of the screen. You should pay some attention to the optimal formation of your party. You can arrange your characters into two rows. Place your mages and archers in the second row, and your warriors in the first row will cover them. You can also use formation button during the battle. Quests (ALT+Q) Quest button in the lower-left corner of the screen will show you Quest menu where you can check all your quests – both in progress and completed ones. If you are at a standstill, quests in progress will tell you exactly what to do.
8 Journal (ALT+J) Your heroine, Vivien, records most of her dialogues to her journal. You can browse her journal by pressing the journal button in the lower-left corner of the screen if you want to recall some useful information. World Map (ALT+W) This button in the lower-right corner of the screen will show you the world map with all known locations. Yellow rune shows your current position. New locations will gradually appear when you learn about them from dialogues with NPC characters. Local Map (ALT+M) If you feel lost in any of the locations or can’t find certain place, use local map for navigation - together with the compass. There are two useful options in the local map: You can switch Traders/Persons button to show all traders and persons in the location, and you can also add notes to the local map by using left mouse button. Sometimes, it is very difficult to remember positions of all traders and persons who gave you a quest and/or artifacts. Notes can help you to solve this problem. Camp (ALT+C) Your characters need to rest. When you can't see well at night, you can camp and sleep until morning. While sleeping, hit points and mana points of your characters are gradually being restored if they are low. Note: You can’t camp when your characters are long without food and water. Statistics (ALT+I) If you click on the portrait of any of your characters, a statistics window will appear. This statistics window shows you the character’s hero level, experience, basic stats (str, dex, vit, int, lck), melee power, magic power, food & water, walk speed, job levels and all types of defences. Inventory Right window of the Inventory shows all items in your inventory. Some of the items can be stacked. On the other hand, if you want to use only some of them, you can split them by using the right mouse button. Right mouse button will show you all properties of the items. Pay special attention to the weight of the items and check the weight limits which you can find in the upper-left corner of the inventory window. If your inventory is full and you are given some item, it will be dropped to the ground. If you can’t find certain item after manipulating with inventory window, try to look for it on the ground. If there is any useless item that you don’t need anymore, you can also drop it to the ground by picking the item and putting it outside the inventory window.
