Welcome to GODS: Lands of Infinity
Special edition
The team of Cypron Studios is honored to present to you the magical GODS:
Lands of Infinity SE, an original and unique mixture of 3D RPG and trade
strategy. While following an epic story of unearthly affairs, you can discover the
world of Antasion and experience great adventures by completing side quests;
helping ordinary people with their troubles, or by interposing yourself into the
leading quests of each race or kingdom. This variable concept of the game is
complemented with a turn-based battle system, which allows you to fully experience
the possibilities of your characters.
Whole game was created under our new 3D Spirith engine, which enabled us to
create wonderful sceneries, which you can perceive from a 1st person perspective. 3D
Spirith provides you detailed textures; realistic water, ice, grass, changing of parts of
the day and other nature elements thanks to the highly-advanced shader system.
We invite you to the world of Antasion and believe that you’ll experience many
exciting hours of play and adventure.

SPECIAL EDITION FEATURES
Special Edition is an enhanced version of GODS: Lands of Infinity. SE is empowered with
many improvements in graphics, sound, stability and game play and boosted with various
bonus stuff.
The main features of Special edition are:
Starring Kyla Cole as a Lead Heroine
Our main heroine Vivien now has a real face and it is the one of a famous glamour model
Kyla Cole. You will meet her in the game art, wallpapers as well as in the in-game
graphics.
Powered by the Latest Build (All Patches Included)
We have spent lot of time by testing, bugs hunting and polishing the gameplay as well as
game engine. Gods LoI: SE is now more stable and works smoothly on average PC.
Polished Graphics with More Detailed Enviroment
We have improved in game graphics and included new buildings, completely redesigned
trees, added more details like flags, flowers. We also added animals like snakes, rats,
butterflies in woods and dogs, chickens, mice in resident areas etc.
Brand New Main Menu and Graphic User Interface
We have completely redesigned the main menu. It is based on an animated gods sign and
amazing pictures of the new face of Vivien which will welcome you from very beginning
of the new edition.
Smoother Animation
We redesigned character animations as well as included new animation files for characters.
Expanded Alchemy
Many players of Gods:LoI asked for better alchemy. We have expanded alchemy in general
and included more alchemy recipes together with new potions for all who like to improve
the alchemy job in Special Edition.
Brand New Game Soundtrack and Gods OST CD
As gaming community has been fond of the original and delightful soundtrack of
GODS:LoI, our music composer Pavel Krychtalek made new music tracks for Special
Edition. Yet another talented music composer Vlado Hudec joined our ranks and brought
new dimension to the music of GODS. New soundtrack contains a bonus pop-rock ending
theme which sums up an uneasy fate of the main heroine. On the top of it, we have
included old tracks on audio CD, so GODS:LoI OST (Original SoundTrack) may be
included in the retail version of special edition too.
Boosted Sound Effects
Some of the reviewers as well as players considered sound effects of GODS:LoI to be
weak facet of the game so we hired Clock Work Production to completely redesign and
improve this part of the game. As a result Special Edition sounds far better.

5
Bonus Weapons and Armours
We have prepared something for all players who played the original version of GODS, and
have included new suits of armour, quite a few weapons like daggers, swords, shields and
axes…
GODS Kyla Cole 2007 Calendar
We are preparing GODS Kyla Cole 2007 calendar (dressed in prestige suit of armour).
Wheter this feature will be included in the retail version or not depends on the individual
publishers.

6
CONTROLS AND OPTIONS
You control movement of your hero with keys which you can select in the options. Default
setting for movement are up, down, left, right keys or w, s, a, d. You can rotate the camera
with right mouse button or by moving the cursor to the border of the screen. You also need
to use cursor for selecting and talking to the people and manipulating with items.
By pressing ‘esc‘ button during the
game, the basic menu will appear. You
will find continue, load, save, options and
exit options there. Save your progress
in the game often as you can in order
to reach the endgame without having
to continually start over.
Options menu offers you several useful
preferences such as autosave, post
process effect, battle camera animation,
scroll on screen border and footsteps
sound. You can also adjust loudness of
music, sfx effects and speech as well as
brightness and game difficulty.
Autosave will save your game every
time you appear in a new location. You
should, however, save many times
manually if you don’t want to risk
getting stuck in the game.
Battle camera animation – If you get
bored by waiting until the animation of
the camera is over during battles, you
can switch it off. Combat without
camera animation is more practical,
but less impressive.
Game difficulty – There are three
different degrees of difficulty in
GODS: Lands of Infinity SE: Easy, Normal and Hard. They reflect the variety of players
which play the game in a completely different way. Some players kill every creature they
encounter and earn lots of money by trade so that their characters are strong and well
equipped. Others complete only basic tasks, and so it happens that some of the beasts and
enemies are too strong for them. In such cases, it is better to switch game difficulty to Easy.
You can change game difficulty whenever you choose to during the game, except for the
combat mode.
Under the controls button, which you can find at the bottom of the options menu, you can
set your controls keys and mouse sensitivity.

7
INTERFACE
Interface of GODS: Lands of Infinity SEcontains many options which you will find very
useful while playing the game:
Time
You can always check the time in the upper-left corner of the screen. Sun rises at 6 o’clock
in the morning in GODS, twilight comes after 7 o’clock in the evening.
Compass
You can use compass in the upper-right corner of the screen to navigate your characters
according to the local map. It will always lead you towards the right direction.
Formation (ALT+F)
You can find formation button in the lower-left corner of the screen. You should pay some
attention to the optimal formation of your party. You can arrange your characters into two
rows. Place your mages and archers in the second row, and your warriors in the first row
will cover them.
You can also use formation button during the battle.
Quests (ALT+Q)
Quest button in the lower-left corner of the screen will show you Quest menu where you can
check all your quests – both in progress and completed ones. If you are at a standstill,
quests in progress will tell you exactly what to do.

8
Journal (ALT+J)
Your heroine, Vivien, records most of her dialogues to her journal. You can browse her
journal by pressing the journal button in the lower-left corner of the screen if you want to
recall some useful information.
World Map (ALT+W)
This button in the lower-right corner of the screen will show you the world map with all
known locations. Yellow rune shows your current position. New locations will gradually
appear when you learn about them from dialogues with NPC characters.
Local Map (ALT+M)
If you feel lost in any of the locations or can’t find certain place, use local map for
navigation - together with the compass. There are two useful options in the local map: You
can switch Traders/Persons button to show all traders and persons in the location, and you
can also add notes to the local map by using left mouse button. Sometimes, it is very
difficult to remember positions of all traders and persons who gave you a quest and/or
artifacts. Notes can help you to solve this problem.
Camp (ALT+C)
Your characters need to rest. When you can't see well at night, you can camp and sleep
until morning. While sleeping, hit points and mana points of your characters are gradually
being restored if they are low.
Note: You can’t camp when your characters are long without food and water.
Statistics (ALT+I)
If you click on the portrait of any of your
characters, a statistics window will appear.
This statistics window shows you the
character’s hero level, experience, basic stats
(str, dex, vit, int, lck), melee power, magic
power, food & water, walk speed, job levels
and all types of defences.
Inventory
Right window of the Inventory shows all items
in your inventory. Some of the items can be
stacked. On the other hand, if you want to use
only some of them, you can split them by using
the right mouse button. Right mouse button
will show you all properties of the items. Pay
special attention to the weight of the items and
check the weight limits which you can find in
the upper-left corner of the inventory window.
If your inventory is full and you are given some
item, it will be dropped to the ground. If you
can’t find certain item after manipulating with
inventory window, try to look for it on the
ground. If there is any useless item that you
don’t need anymore, you can also drop it to the
ground by picking the item and putting it
outside the inventory window.

9
Equipment
You can find the equipment button at the bottom of the statistics window. It will show you
all weapons, clothes, armor and artefacts which are currently being used by any given
character. Note that you can’t change certain equipment of some characters. This
equipment is so called ‘soul-bounded’. It is the personal property of that character, and
they simply won’t let you manipulate it. You can also equip characters directly from the
Preview window.
Preview
Preview mode shows you the real appearance of the characters in the game.

10
THE WAR OF GODS
The main heroine of GODS: Lands of Infinity SE is a divine avatar
named Vivien. She was created from the astral body of her God,
Aarswargh, to fulfill the mission - which is the only way to restore the
balance in the world devastated by the war of gods.
Intro takes you to Vivien’s homeworld called Bellarion, which is at
neverending war. After Xarax, ruler of Gods of Bellarion, was
murdered, each of the Gods claimed the right for the Divine Throne. After many quarrels,
they all agreed that they should arranged the Ultimate Challenge in which the Gods would
cross their powers to show who is the most powerful to rule them all. But the Gods who
failed were still not willing to submit to the winner. They summoned their armies and
attacked the worshipers of other Gods. By the deaths of their worshipers, Gods lost part of
their power and weakened. This deed could not have been left without reply.
After 2000 years of battles, Bellarion lies in ruins. Vast and black deserts of ashes,
chasms sinking into the lava, earth torn and frozen into the lifeless glacier – that’s what
most of Bellarion remained.
Gods with their armies fortified
in the heavily protected
fortresses and sealed their
territories with deadly magic
traps. All those years the battle
was drawn. Nobody could win.
Untill…
The God of Darkness,
Mortagorn, found a new weapon.
New Clerics from his castles
appeared in the battlefields.
Each of them armed with a pale
crystal at the end of their staves.
When a cold light shone at the
direction of their enemies,
soldiers just fell dead to the
ground. Neither magical nor
physical protection was effective.
Mortagorn dominated
most of the battlefields. His
armies marched forward.
Unstoppable, spreading like
cancer. The other Gods could not
withstand long in their defences
if a new counter-weapon was not
found. Gods searched for it
through out all of the world of
Bellarion. But no magic or their
divine powers worked.

And so, as the last hope,
Arswaargh, the God of Fire,
created Vivien from his own
astral body and sent her
through the space and time to
seek other worlds where there
might be the counter-weapon
he needed.
11
The game starts when Vivien
opens her eyes in the world of
Antasion, completely unknown
for her. Unfortunately, when
Vivien traveled through the
magical portal to another
world, she disrupted the divine
balance of the new world and
her own divine essence was
scattered into sparks and
absorbed equally by the gods of
Antasion. Without her divine
essence, Vivien becomes a
mortal being as other
inhabitants of Antasion. She
must seek the Gods of this new
world, gain back her power
and seek the counter-weapon
against Mortagorn’s death
crystals.
HOW TO PLAY THE GAME
The idea of blending RPG with trade strategy provides many possibilities of gameplay, and
you can choose which activity you focus on. If you choose to spend most of the time on
trade, you can earn lots of money and afford better arms, armor, spells and other
equipment. You will need a lot of money, as there are many items and features to improve.
If you are a more aggressive kind of player who is used to spending most of his time on the
battlefield, you can improve your hero level by killing beasts and monsters. It is also a good
way to earn some money as you can sell items dropped by the dead enemies. You can also
play the game by following only the main story-line. In this case, however, you should
switch game difficulty to easy, as you simply wouldn’t gain enough money and experience
for desirable equipment and appropriate hero level.

12
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
INCREASING YOUR HERO LEVEL
As Vivien starts from zero and learns how to survive in the new world, she gains experience
points (Exp) from each battle she wins. The same thing happens, of course, to the other
characters of your party. The stronger and more dangerous creatures defeated give you
more and more experience points.
If you gain enough Exp, your character will gain new hero level. When that happens, you’ll
receive a certain amount of free points which you can invest in strength, dexterity,
intelligence, vitality and luck. Consider your choice well. Once you invest a free point to
your chosen ability, you cannot get it back anymore.
STRENGTH
influences the number of your melee power and thus, the total damage that you can cause
to your enemies in melee combat. It also
determines the total weight of items you can
carry in your inventory. Check the weight limits
of your characters in the upper-left corner of the
inventory window. Weight limits also influence
walking speed in the game. Remember that the
party moves by the speed of the slowest person.
DEXTERITY
determines the chance of hitting your enemy
(melee & ranged) and damage caused by ranged
weapons. The level of dexterity also determines
the order in which characters attack during the
battle. Persons with higher dexterity attack first.
INTELLIGENCE
determines the amount of mana and the damage
caused by magic spells. Note: Your person must
have a mage profession on at least Neophyte level
to have any mana points.
VITALITY
represents the toughness of a character. The
higher the level of vitality, the more life points
your person has.
LUCK
Determines the chance for critical hits.

13
INCREASING YOUR JOB LEVELS
While playing the game, you will meet various NPC characters who have certain
specializations represented by Job levels. Some of them are good fighters, other are skilled
archers or mages.
Vivien can learn 3 Jobs: Fighter, Mage and Alchemist. Job levels determine what arms,
armors and equipment you can use. New job levels can be learned from masters in a
particular job for a certain fee. You can meet Master Pribina in Slawingrad, who can
increase your fighter level. Master Illuminor in the Elven city of Thelminadris can increase
your mage level; and Herbalist Odrona in Woda Gbely can teach you alchemy - if you help
her sister Larrisa.
NOTE: The total strength of your characters is highly influenced by weapons, armors,
magical artefacts and other equipment they use. You can learn more about equipment in
chapter Arms & Equipment.
FIGHTING SKILLS
Your characters will gain new types of
depending on their specialization. Check
NOTE: The strategy of archers depends
also on various types of arrows with
different effects which substitute skills of
fighter job (e.g. shattering arrows –
bleeding effect, Stun arrows – stun effect)
Mage Job
Mages’ strategy fully depends on the choice of
various spells which require certain amount of
action points and mana points.
COMBAT SYSTEM
When you wander through the country and encounter an enemy, the screen will switch to
the Combat Mode with turn-based combat system. We chose this system because you can
control only 1 person in real time and we wanted to provide you space to use all
possibilities of each person.
During the combat mode, you will work with combat menu which offers you several types
of actions: Attack, Magic, Inventory, Formation, Defend and Run Away. Proper and creative
combinations of these options opens many possibilities and strategies which you can use
and they often determine the outcome of the battle.

15
Action points (Ap)
Each battle action requires certain amount of action points (Ap) which represent time and
strength needed for certain move. If a person uses complex attack, it will cost some
strength, and he needs to adopt a defensive stance for some time to regain strength (new
Ap). In the beginning of the battle, each person starts with 4 Ap. Later, with increasing
hero levels, the starting amount of AP will slowly increase. Various battle actions decrease
this amount of starting Ap. All your characters gain 4 Ap every third round or after
adopting a defensive stance.
Attack
With increasing levels, your characters will gain various types of attack. Each of them has
its advantages and disadvantages. Stun, backstab and bleeding attack depend on your luck. You
can specialize your characters so that each of them will use certain type of attack. You can,
for example, invest a character’s free points into luck and use him to stun enemies; or you
can increase his strength and use triple attack to cause heavy damage. On the other hand, it
is unwise to use stun, bleeding or backstab by character who hasn’t got high Luck; or triple
attack by character who has low melee power.
Magic
Under the magic banner you will see the active spells which a character has in his magic
book. Each spell requires certain amount of mana and Ap.
Inventory
You can use inventory option for restoring HP and mana by healing and mana potions,
mainly if a character is unable to cast healing spell or can’t be healed by a mage in time.
You can also use many special potions such as resistance potions.

16
Formation
You should pay some attention to the optimal formation of your party. You can arrange
your characters into two rows. Place your mages and archers in the second row, and your
warriors in the first row will cover them. Warriors in the 1st row can attack only enemies
from the opponent’s first row. This, of course, doesn’t apply for archers and mages who
can target every enemy.
Your strategy also depends on the development of your characters. You can invest a
character’s free points into strength and use him as a damage dealer; or you can invest in
his vitality and use him as a ‘tank’ – absorbing most of the damage and healing him by
mage in the second row; or you can increase his intelligence and use him to cast spells from
the second row.
You can use formation button even during the battle. If a warrior in 1st row is heavily
wounded, place him in the second row and heal him.
Defend
Use defend when your characters do not have enough Ap, or if you want to reduce incoming
damage. Strong warriors can use a combination ‘defend+defend+triple’ attack to be the
most effective.
If you place a character with many HP in the 1st row, use the defend option and heal him
with a mage from the 2nd row. Such a person is nearly invincible.
Run Away
If your enemy is too strong and you see that you can’t win the battle, you can use ‘Run
Away’ button. This option will end the battle and teleport you to the start location. If you
run away from the battle, your experience will decrease so use this option only when there
is no other way.
Victory
If you win the battle, the surviving members of your party will gain experience points for
every enemy they have defeated. Stronger enemies give you more experience points. If
some of your characters fall, you can still revive them with a resurrection potion or
resurrection spell. Fallen characters at the end of the battle, however, don’t get any
experience points.

17
ARMS AND EQUIPMENT
Great adventurers certainly need good arms and equipment to be able to face enemies who
are often much stronger than themselves, or greater in number. You can defeat a hungry
wolf with your simple dagger, but you could serve only as a breakfast for the Ancient
demon executor from the other sphere with the same dagger. Earn money and buy new
equipment often. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have a chance against more advanced foes in
more distant locations. Sometimes, you will receive arms and armors as a reward, or you
can take them from your dead enemies. It is also useful to pay attention to the different
qualities of weapons and armors, e.g. dexterity penalties, weight and type of attack/defence.
Daggers, for example, cause less damage, but they have a considerably higher chance for
critical hits. Axes and hammers are effective against golems and heavy armors, but they
have a dexterity penalty.
NOTE: You will meet NPC characters who have their own equipment, so called soulbounded,
which you cannot change.
WEAPONS
In the tables bellow, you can see all weapons, armors and equipment that you can find in
GODS: Lands of Infinity SE and their properties.
Power and quality of weapons can be strengthened or adjusted by enchanting crystals. The
total damage of a weapon is also modified by a melee power modifier, which you can find
in the statistics window.
Various weapons cause various types of damage. There are 7 types of damage in GODS:
Lands of Infinity SE: pierce, crush, fire, ice, poison, holy and death. Various enemies and
creatures are vulnerable against different types of attack. Fire damage is definitely
effective against snow trolls. Golems,on the other hand, are vulnerable to crush damage.

MAGIC
Magic system in GODS: Lands of Infinity SE is based on magic crystals, not on scrolls as is more
common. When a mage learns or composes spell he encrypts it to a magic crystal together with his
mana. Special structure of crystals has the ability to store magic spells active and ready to use.
You can find or buy many magic books containing a magic crystal in the game. When you put it
into your magic book, the spell is active in your combat menu. Each spell requires certain amount
of mana and action points to cast. You can cast each of the spells as many times in battle as your
storage of mana allows you.
Magic book and Magic staffs are other important instruments of every mage. Both Magic books
and magic staves increase your amount of mana - together with intelligence - which makes your
spells stronger, causing more damage. See the number of your magic power in the statistics
window.
Remember that magic staves can also be modified by enchanting crystals.
ALCHEMY
Vivien can learn Alchemy Job which allows her to prepare various potions and work with
enchanting crystals. Alchemy is useful for all who don’t want to spend lots of money on
healing, mana and other potions but instead prefer to make them by themselves
(homemade’s always better ☺). You will
need a real pile of healing and mana
potions in the game! It is also more
confortable to make your own potions
when you are in a location which is far
from the alchemy trader. It saves you time
and money needed for the travel.
Some of more powerful potions such as
protection potions cannot be bought from
Alchemy trader. You must make them by
yourself. The final battles will be realy
difficult without them. And that is why
you should not underestimate the
Alchemy training.
WHAT YOU NEED
First, you must be trained in Alchemy job.
If you seek training, go to the herbalist
Odrona who lives near Woda Gbely. She
can teach you the alchemy craft. Then you
need a recipe for an alchemy item you
want to create. Most of them can be
bought from an alchemy trader, others
will be found in the progress of the game.
Each alchemy recipe requires certain
alchemy job level (which can be acquired
from herbalist Odrona).
Each alchemy item requires:
Recipe
Various components such as herbs, animal organs, alchemy coal, alchemy mana and
others.
HERBS
The basic and most frequent alchemy components are herbs. Concrete herbs grow in their
specific locations. So some of them will not be available untill you reach elven locations.
Collect all herbs you see on the ground. You never know when you will need them. If you
don’t, you can sell them.
ANIMAL ORGANS
You will get them by fighting the animals and various monsters in the game. When you
move a pointer on the organ, info-screen will tell you wheter it is an alchemy item or not.
FUEL
Components such as alchemy iron, alchemy coal, clear water, empty flasks and others can
be bought from alchemy trader.

32
ALCHEMY MANA
For most of the recipes you need blue, green or golden alchemy mana. Alchemy mana can
be distilled from herbs. In the beginning you have a basice recipe ‘Draw Mana’ which will
tell you how to distill mana from herbs. Various herbs give you different type of mana
(blue, green, gold). See list below:
comfrey
thyme
butterbur
hibiscus
dead nettle
angelica
brown mushroom
mushrooms
red mushroom
plantain
spearmint
levander
coltsfoot
arnica
aloe
green mushroom
gray mushroom
ALCHEMY PROCESS:
Open your Alchemy screen in Inventory, which will show you the Alchemy device.
Read what components you need for creation of a certain item.
Take components from inventory one by one and put them to the Alchemy device. Clear
water (or water skin) must go to the water icon, coal must go to the coal icon in the bottom.
Rest of the materials must be placed on the grid next to the alchemy device. When all
required components are placed in the alchemy device, open alchemy book again and
confirm alchemy process.
TRADE
Like in real life, every person needs money to survive. While playing GODS, you’ll need a
lot of gold coins for food, traveling, learning, buying expensive weapons, armors and
artefacts.
If you intend to upgrade your character to a well equipped and experienced hero, you will
spend some time by trading.
You can meet traders in almost every town or village. Traders are marked by a trader icon
when you point to them by your cursor. Speak to them and note prices of merchandise
carefully because various traders have different prices. Some business is more profitable,
some is less. However, you’ll need to trade with many different commodities as all traders
have limits of merchandise in stock. The quantity of goods in stock increases gradually but
slowly day by day.
Note that you must select a different option for buying and selling in the dialogue with
traders. Buying window and selling window are two and separate windows.
The most advantageous is to sell goods to a specialized trader (e.g. swords to the
blacksmith, flour to a miller, etc.) but it happens sometimes that you can’t find a
specialized trader for certain goods. In this case, you can sell them to the seaport traders
who usually buy everything but for comparably lower prices. You can learn some good
hints on trade from commoners.
Your trade capabilities are also influenced by number of your party members and their
strength, as this determines how much merchandise you can carry in your inventory.
Always pay attention to the weight of merchandise and your current weight limits in
inventory. Unfortunately, you cannot buy a horse or wagon in GODS: Lands of Infinity SE.
This feature will be available in GODS datadisc.

34
TRAVELING
There are two ways of traveling in GODS: Lands of Infinity SE. You can discover each
location (e.g. town, forest, valley) personally meter by meter. Sometimes it pays to look
around and behind each stone or tree where you can find some hidden artifacts.
If you want to travel from one location to another, you must go to a signpost and click on it.
You’ll see the world map with all known locations. You can jump from one to another.
In the beginning, you will have only limited number of locations visible in your worldmap.
New locations will appear either when you learn about them by speaking to people, or
when you find a new signpost. A location hint will notify you each time a new location is
uncovered.
Note: Sometimes, you will find only one signpost in a given location.

35
FOOD AND CAMPING
Your characters need to eat and drink to stay vital and strong. If their food and water gets
too low, their stats will decrease - which means that they become weaker on the battlefield.
When you see the food icon blinking on the portrait of your character, take some food from
your inventory and click on the portrait to feed it.
If you have a party of more heroes, you will really need big supplies of food and water
(together with mana and healing potions). This will cost you a lot of money unless you hunt
wild beasts for meat.
Hint: If you give your character alcohol, a drunk effect will affect him which will increase
his strength, but decrease his intelligence.
Your characters also need to rest. When you can't see well at night, you can camp and sleep
until morning. While sleeping, hit points and mana points of your characters are gradually
being restored if they are low.
Note: You can’t camp when your characters are too long without food and water.
We wish you good luck and even greater adventuring as you begin your own epic saga in
GODS: Lands of Infinity SE!

WARNING!
We obtained several e-mails from players who encountered serious troubles in game-play
due to use of so called „trainers“. These are cheating programs through which you can set
various statistics of the game to any value (e.g. strength, dexterity, money, Hp etc.). This
can result in later troubles (difficulties) in the progres of the game. We want to warn
players that in this case we cannot guarantee functionality and stability of the game. The
use of these programs is strongly not recommended.
