Provost
Our May 20th meeting
will be back at the Lost
Spur and the June 17th
meeting at the Little
Venetian Inn. Social
hour is at 6:00pm,
dinner at 6:30pm and
Eric Seavey meeting at 7pm. July’s
meeting will be the
Provost Picnic. Please try to attend our
meetings to socialize as well as to continue
to make the Provost Guard a great Unit.
e Osman Circus had quite a number
of Provost Nobles working or attending in
a social aspect. It was good to see so
many familiar faces. We were able to help
find a number of lost parents, did a great
job in managing parking and working
with the State Fair Police. I think our 1st
Lt. and Chaplain Mike Brady must have
helped hundreds avert a restroom
emergency! ank you to everyone who
Charlie Rios has a close encounter
Jerry Johnson and Bob Bay guarding the
Provost jail.
Ushers Dee Hobbie and SusAnn With Chief of Staff Mark
Sandstrom and Provost Paul Kuehl. SusAnn is a volunteer usher
helping escort our wheelchair patrons. She was geared up for
action with her oven mitts, pickle and construction helmet!
came out to the Circus. Without your
hard work the Circus couldn’t be such a
successful and safe event.
e Spring Ceremonial is May 4th at
the Masonic Center at 200 E. Plato Blvd.
in St. Paul. We could use the assistance of
Provost Guard Nobles to help with
directing parking. is is also a great
opportunity to make a positive impression
on our candidates, as a member of the
Provost Guard is often the first Shriner
seen at an event.
e Next Club
and Unit Meeting
will be on May
14th at 7pm at the
Shrine Center.
Officers should
plan to attend.
Other
upcoming events
in May are the
Twin Cities
Hospital Day and
the Twins Game,
both on May 17th.
e Twin Cities
Hospital is also
celebrating its 90th
Anniversary on
May 18th. Come
out for fellowship
and a reminder of
why we work so
hard as Shriners.
e Stated
Mike Brady and Eric Seavey
Meeting will be on June 11th at 6:30 pm
and Provost Guard Nobles are encouraged
to attend and help with tyling.
e First Parade of the year will be the
South St. Paul Kaposia Days Parade on
Friday June 28th. I’m confident that,
though there is snow on the ground as I
write this, we will have a beautiful day for
a parade. Please plan to come out to
escort the Potentate and Divan.
e Provost Picnic will be coming up
on Monday, July 15th; 5pm social, 6pm
