and the Divan.<br />
After a great meal<br />
our own member<br />

Frank is a detective with the Albert Lea<br />
Police department. at program was<br />
most interesting and informative.<br />

e ALSC also hosted a pancake<br />
breakfast the 3rd Sunday of the month<br />
which was very<br />
successful. ank you<br />

Just a little side note;<br />
I attended the Osman<br />
Circus with a couple of<br />
my daughters, their<br />
spouses and children. IT<br />
WAS GREAT!! e last<br />
time I was there was<br />
around thirty years ago<br />
with my four daughters.<br />
Wow, I have been<br />
missing a<br />
WONDERFUL event. I will be there<br />
next year, and will make myself available<br />
to help.<br />

May 4th. - Spring Ceremonial, Masonic<br />
Center at Plato<br />
whole circus staff<br />
for all the hard<br />
work and effort of<br />
staging the 2013<br />
Osman Shrine<br />
Circus. It was not<br />
only a wonderful<br />
time but a<br />
successful event.<br />
Damn – that was<br />
fun. e Drum<br />
and Bugle Corps<br />
had 3 booths for<br />
popcorn, Sno-cone<br />
and peanut sales as<br />
well as one ticket<br />
stand for elephant<br />
rides. -- WE<br />
NEEDED HELP<br />
– and we got it,<br />
from our own unit and also from other<br />
units. People stepped in whenever we<br />
needed them. People from the<br />
Daughters of the Nile, Legion of<br />
Honor, Nomads, Directors Staff,<br />
Rochester Zagalas and others were<br />

Conway Villars has sold elephant ride<br />
tickets and helped at the Circus for 50<br />
years -- and finally got to ride the<br />
elephant! (See cover)<br />
May 4th. – ALSC Parade car cleanup/fix<br />
up day.<br />
May 14th. – Club and Unit Heads<br />
meeting<br />
May 18th. – ALSC Spring Steak dinner<br />
END OF MAY – Let e Parades Begin!<br />

Our spring<br />
schedule is on us with<br />
Memorial Day our<br />
biggest event of the<br />
year. We will march<br />
in the White Bear<br />
Lake Memorial Day<br />
Parade and<br />
participate in the<br />
service at the<br />
cemetery. We will<br />
also play military and<br />
patriotic tunes at the<br />
American Legion and<br />
VFW Posts. is is a<br />
full day for us and, at times, quite<br />
moving. Come on out if you can. It<br />
will be worth your time.<br />
