It looks like we have quite a boating season this
year. We got at least one permit for every trip
we applied for and permits for some other rivers
showed up too. Thanks to all who made the effort
and spent the few bucks to apply. First we applied
for permits and waited
for the results. Then we
shared our prizes and
built our schedule at the
planning party on March
5. Now, trip organizers
step forward, people sign
up, permits are paid for,
plans made, reservations
phoned in and equipment
reserved. Also coming
up is training for boaters
and organizers. So, there
is still more to do. And
then, when the time
comes, we go boating
and all of the above is
well worth it. YEAH!!!!

The Wasatch Mountain Club has a vibrant boating program and owns boats
and gear to fully equip club boating trips. The club schedules a wide variety
of trips from daily runs to weeklong river trips. Trips range in intensity from
serene flat-water canoe trips to challenging class IV-V whitewater.
