Day Hike - North Thunder – ext – 8.0 mi Out & Back – 6000’ ascent – Moderate pace

We will climb North Thunder Peak via Bells Canyon. Ice ax, crampons, and a helmet with knowledge of how
to use them/self arrest skills will be needed. Expect an early start and a long day (maybe 12 hours) depending
upon the speed of the group. The route will take us to the upper reservoir, to the saddle between Bell’s Cleaver
and South Thunder, into Thunder Bowl, and then up the west face of North Thunder. Some scrambling will also
be encountered. Wilderness limits will apply. Please contact me via email to register or with questions
