Backpacking Basics, Thursday, May 3rd, 7pm<br />

We will cover backpacking essentials: choosing a pack; selecting proper clothing; and the right footwear; and understanding<br />

the basic gear you need to reach your destination.<br />

Bike Maintenance Basics, Tuesday, May 8th, 7pm<br />

This class is an informative presentation that will teach you how to lube a chain, fix a flat tire in record time, and<br />

make other minor adjustments to your bicycle! Leave your bike at home.<br />

Hiking Basics, Thursday, May 24th, 7pm<br />

In this program, REI experts will share tips and tricks on all aspects of hiking. Learn about trip planning, essential<br />

items, equipment, safety precautions, along with local resources and places to go.<br />

Trail Running Basics, Tuesday, May 1st, 7pm<br />

SALT LAKE CITY - 3285 EAST & 3300 SOUTH<br />

Trail running can be a great change of pace from the jog around the neighborhood. In this session we will cover what you<br />

need to get on the trail. Learn about technique, training, clothing and footwear specific to the sport of trail running.<br />

Dead Horse Point State Park: Get Out and Play!, Thursday, May 3rd, 7pm<br />

The park is home to sixteen miles of hiking trails and nine miles of family-friendly mountain bike trails leading to dramatic<br />

views of the Colorado River and canyons below. The park’s twenty-one site campground is a wonderful base camp.<br />
