Personal Profile<br />
Ingvar Sjöberg has been working as a visual artist for the last 30 years. He has a<br />
special interest in how art can have a transformative impact on societal<br />
development at large. After have been working as a professor in Fine Arts at the<br />
University of Gothenburg and as a research leader at the Interactive Institute he<br />
now has the possession as Artistic Director at Stockholm University, Department<br />
of Computer and systems sciences, DSV in Kista. Ingvar is the Artistic Director of<br />
DAC, Digital Art Center.<br />
DAC is Stockholm university, DSV, public outreach environment, representing DSV<br />
Profile areas, where researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, students and the public can<br />
<strong>meet</strong>, learn and develop through exhibitions, seminars and programs in the fields of<br />
ICT, science and art. By opening a new interface between technology companies<br />
and creative industries, cross-fertilization between the IT industry working models,<br />
new research and art, DAC lead to new ways to think innovatively and helps to<br />
strengthen Sweden's international competitiveness. Ingvar stresses the idea that<br />
visibility is an important aspect of the innovation process.
