Personal Profile<br />
Jarek is an expert in IT and Education sectors in Central and Eastern Europe. He<br />
was founder memeber of the Coalition of Open Standards with intention to<br />
introduce and promote open IT standards and open source software in education<br />
and public administration. He was supporting IDA BC and join.up initiatives in EU.<br />
When leading Novell organization in Poland he has supported development and<br />
localization of the SuSE Linux and OpenOffice.org and made them widely adopted<br />
at schools. Jarek is also supporting interoperability initiatives in IT sector, including<br />
systems integration, data exchange and user identities federation.<br />
As a member of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and<br />
Telecommunications he is holding Chairman seat at the Digital Learning<br />
Committee and is working closely with other education vendors, government and<br />
NGOs.He is also holding seats at the Assosiation of Private of Private Education<br />
Employers at Confederation Lewiatan and the Internet Society Poland.<br />
Jarek holds a Master of Social Sciense from the Pedagogical University in Olsztyn.<br />
He has been awarded Bronze Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland in regards to<br />
his service in IT and Education sectors. In 1999 he has been recognized as the<br />
Marketing Employee of the Year at Novell Inc.
