Parcel Despatch Note.<br />

Letters, except those exchanged between the sender and the addressee of<br />

the parcel or persons residing with them; candles; playing cards; saccharin;<br />

tobacco essence.<br />

Restrictions apply to the importation of cut flowers; eggs of game birds<br />

during close season; fish and games; fresh fruit; fresh vegetables and<br />

potatoes, including seed potatoes; Gramophone records; liqueurs and<br />

spirits, except gin and whisky of British origin; preserved fish; plums and<br />

vegetables; living plants; roots and bulbs; shrubs. The importation of certain<br />

other goods is subject to the production of an import licence and such goods<br />

should not be despatched until the necessary licence has been obtained by<br />

the addressee.<br />

Despatch Note in addition to upper part of Green Label. Italian or French as<br />

well as English.<br />

Bank-notes, coin, gold, jewellery, platinum, precious stones, silver;<br />

mechanical lighters; perfumes; pharmaceutical preparations; photographic<br />

apparatus and films; playing cards; saccharine; tea; tobacco; charged<br />

butane gas lighters and refills (uncharged lighters are admitted).<br />

Parcel Despatch Note. Each declaration, for a gift parcel as well as the<br />

parcel itself, must be marked "Gift Parcel".<br />

refills (uncharged lighters are admitted).<br />

Valued up to $700 - Green Label (CN22); valued over $700 - Parcel<br />

Despatch Note in addition to upper part of Green Label.<br />

Printed matter liable to Customs duty may be sent by printed papers post,<br />

provided that each packet bears a Green Customs Label (CN 22) and that a<br />

Customs declaration is made out in quadruplicate for each packet or batch<br />

of packets not exceeding 10 for same addressee. One copy of the Customs<br />

declaration must be enclosed with the printed matter, the others sent<br />

respectively to the Customs authorities at the port of entry, to the Director<br />

General of Posts Caracas, and to the "Sala de Examen de la Contaduria<br />

General de Hacienda", Caracas. The Customs declarations should be made<br />

out in French or Spanish as well as English.
