every category. Ben Utecht (31-364, 1 TD) and Bryan Fletcher (18-143) completed the TE trio that set a<br />

franchise seasonal position record for touchdowns (12). In 2006, Clark (30-367, 4 TDs), Utecht (37-377)<br />

and Fletcher (18-202, 2 TDs) were versatile components in the passing and rushing attack. RBs-Joseph<br />

Addai (1,081 yards, 7 TDs) and Dominic Rhodes (641 yards, 5 TDs) had solid seasons. Clark had two<br />

100+-yard playoff games, while Fletcher caught a key pass on the game-winning drive vs. New England<br />

in the AFC Championship Game. Clark (21-317) had some of the most productive playoff statistic totals<br />

by a TE in NFL playoff history. The trio made notable contributions in 2005. Clark (37-488, 4 TDs), Fletcher<br />

(18-202, 3 TDs) and Utecht (3-59, 2 TDs) helped the club rank 2nd in scoring (439 points). The offense<br />

surrendered a league-low 20 sacks, while RB-Edgerrin James had 1,506 rushing yards. The club's 522<br />

points in 2004 marked then the 5th-highest seasonal point total in NFL history. The unit helped James produce<br />

2,031 scrimmage yards and 1,548 rushing yards. TE-Marcus Pollard (6 TDs) and Clark (5) were two<br />

of five <strong>Colts</strong> with five or more seasonal touchdown receptions. For the 2002-03 seasons, Thomas assisted<br />

Howard Mudd with the offensive line. The offense yielded only 19 sacks in 588 pass plays in 2003. In<br />

2003, Manning set a club seasonal-best completion percentage, while the club's offense ranked 3rd in the<br />

NFL. Manning set the club seasonal record again in 2004 (67.6, since broken), along with NFL seasonal<br />

marks in touchdown passes (49, since broken) and rating (121.1).<br />

Thomas served as tight ends coach with Tampa Bay from 1999-01. TE-Dave Moore posted his three best<br />

seasons, with a career-high 35 receptions in 2001. In 1997-98, Thomas assisted with special teams and<br />

running backs with Tampa Bay.<br />

Thomas' coaching career began in 1988 at Marion Military Institute Junior College, where he coached<br />

defensive backs. From 1989-92, he returned to his alma mater, Alabama, to serve as academic advisor<br />

for football and men's basketball. Thomas taught and coached at McCallie High School from 1992-96.<br />

He served as a strength and conditioning assistant at Kentucky in 1996, and he coached defensive backs<br />

at Gardner Webb in 1997 before moving to the NFL.<br />

Thomas was a four-year starter at strong safety at Alabama, where he earned a bachelor's degree in health<br />

and physical education. In 1995, he earned a master's degree in exercise science at Tennessee-<br />

Chattanooga. He values opportunities to mentor young people and to partner with organizations focused<br />

on developing well-rounded individuals.<br />

Thomas and his wife, Kimberly, have two children. They reside in Indianapolis.<br />

JON TORINE<br />

Strength and Conditioning<br />

Jon Torine is in his 14th season as strength and conditioning coach of the <strong>Colts</strong>.<br />

Torine oversees all aspects of the club's strength, conditioning and nutritional programs.<br />

He previously served as a conditioning assistant with the Buffalo Bills from<br />

1995-97, where he was involved with the same aspects of the Bills' programs.<br />

In his position with the <strong>Colts</strong>, Torine has the primary responsibility of developing a<br />

year-round strength and conditioning routine for all players. Torine supervises players'<br />

diet/nutritional needs throughout the year, and he coordinates all meal plans for<br />

home and away games. He also assists the team's medical staff with the rehabilitation<br />

of injured players. Torine has served on panels for the United States Olympic Committee, the<br />

American College of Sports Medicine, Gatorade/Gatorade Sports Science Institute and Sports<br />

Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN). Torine has served as a speaker for the National<br />

Strength and Conditioning Association. In 1999, Torine designed the club's 6,000 square foot weight<br />

room at the club's training complex.<br />

Torine played football at Springfield (Mass.) College. He received his bachelor's degree in exercise science.<br />

Torine is a native of Livingston, N.J. He and his wife, Ilana, reside with their sons, Spencer and Isaac, in<br />

Carmel.<br />
