DAVE HAMMER<br />

Head Athletic Trainer<br />

Dave Hammer is in his 28th season with the <strong>Colts</strong>, his third as head athletic trainer.<br />

Hammer spent the 2006-08 seasons as associate head athletic trainer/team services.<br />

Hammer previously served 22 seasons as assistant athletic trainer, having<br />

joined the club in July of 1984. He served on the NATA Honors and Awards Sub-<br />

Committee from 1994-05. He served on the PFATS Executive Board from 1997-02.<br />

Hammer was a member of the undergraduate athletic training curriculum at West<br />

Virginia from 1977-82. He was a graduate assistant at Syracuse from 1982-84<br />

while earning a master’s degree. Hammer spent the 1981 training camp as a member<br />

of the <strong>Colts</strong>' summer staff, along with serving with the club during parts of the<br />

1981-83 seasons. The <strong>Colts</strong>’ training staff was honored in 1990 as the Pro Football Athletic Training Staff<br />

of the Year by the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on May 10, 1959,<br />

Dave and his wife, Sharon, reside with their children, Christopher (22) and Ashlee, (19) in Brownsburg.<br />

ERIN BARILL<br />

Director of Rehabilitation<br />

Erin Barill is in his ninth season with the <strong>Colts</strong>, his sixth as Director of Rehabilitation.<br />

He previously served as physical therapist for the <strong>Colts</strong> from 2003-05. He earned his<br />

bachelor’s degree in secondary education and athletic training from West Virginia in<br />

1992, and earned another bachelor’s degree from WVU's School of Physical<br />

Therapy. Prior to working with the <strong>Colts</strong>, Barill worked 11 years as a physical therapist<br />

and athletic trainer at Methodist Sports Medicine Center, where he had both clinical<br />

and high school responsibilities. He was born December 8, 1969 in Morgantown,<br />

W.Va. Barill and his wife, Shay, reside with their children, Rayne (4) and Journey (2),<br />

in Brownsburg.<br />

DAVE WALSTON<br />

Assistant Athletic Trainer<br />

Dave Walston is in his 19th season with the <strong>Colts</strong>, his 15th as a full-time assistant<br />

athletic trainer. Walston earned a master's degree from West Virginia University<br />

and a bachelor's degree from Salisbury State College. He previously served as<br />

head athletic trainer at Bowie State University (1988-90) in Bowie, Md., and at<br />

Morningside College (1990-92) in Sioux City, Iowa. He was born January 14,<br />

1964 in Denton, Md. Walston resides with his wife, Steffani, and sons Brayden<br />

(13) and Brooks (2), in Brownsburg.<br />

KYLE DAVIS<br />

Assistant Athletic Trainer<br />

Kyle Davis is in his third year with the <strong>Colts</strong>, his first as a full-time assistant athletic<br />

trainer. Davis previously served as as a seasonal intern during the 2008 and 2009<br />

seasons. He earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from East Central<br />

University in 2006 and a master’s degree in education from ECU in 2008. Davis<br />

was born on December 12, 1983 in Pauls Valley, Okla. Davis and his wife, Betty,<br />

reside in Indianapolis.<br />
