The first adventure in the popular Siam Storm Series. When a small golden box containing dental remains of the Buddha is stolen and its guardian monks murdered; it is the surviving combatant monk, Pon's, duty to recover the holy item and avenge his brother monks. Pon leaves his secluded monastery in the Cardamom jungle to search of the man responsible. He enters Cambodia, where he finds the employer of, Dam, the man who committed the crime, but Dam has already fled, taking the box. Spock, Stu, and Nick are three lovable English rogues who are enjoying a holiday experience of a lifetime in Pattaya, in southeast Thailand. While enjoying a raucous night out, they accidentally stumble across the holy box and, unaware of its sacred contents, replace them with Nicks knocked out dentures. Pon, after pursuing Dam to Pattaya, runs into Spock, Stu, and Nick. Calamity follows and they all get swept up into a new kind of adventure. The fun has just begun...

An eerie surreal aura surrounded the village of Salaburi. The villagers<br />

wandered around aimlessly, in a state of shock and disbelief. It had<br />

been two days since the deadly intrusion on their holy domain.<br />

Pon lay in the monks living quarters, drifting in and out of<br />

consciousness. He had been that way since Khun Cenat found his nearlifeless<br />

body outside the rear of the temple as he strolled around the<br />

grounds. While checking that Pon was alive, Cenat noticed that the rear<br />

door of the temple was open. Confused, he approached the door,<br />

smelling an unusual aroma; he put his robe over his nose and mouth and<br />

entered.<br />

In the main hall, the smoke had almost cleared. Cenat gagged when he<br />

saw his comrades and family lying dead on the floor, with their features<br />

and bodies contorted. He saw the body of the Prime Master leaning<br />

against the statue of Buddha. Feeling dizzy and devoid of rational<br />

thought, Cenat left the temple and went back outside to tend the fallen<br />

Pon. Then, as if in a hypnotic trance, hoisted the monk over his<br />

shoulder and carried him to the living area.<br />

Vitchae is sitting in the classroom, listening to Khun Tangrit as he gave<br />

lessons to the young monks on the teachings of Buddha. Vitchae, the<br />

former Prime Master, was eighty-six-years-old and the oldest monk.<br />

With his sight completely gone, he liked to sit in on the lessons of the<br />

youngsters, especially when the ceremony of the ‘great journey’ was<br />

held. He enjoyed talking to the older monks, excluded from the<br />

ceremony because he was deemed too old to make the pilgrimage to<br />

Bangkok. The door of the classroom burst open. Cenat stumbled in with
