For realization of knowledge base there was developed a set of relational
tables, the structure of which is described in Picture 1.
Description of the method of management of rules in the knowledge base
Management of rules in the knowledge base is organized by using
priorities (extra, high, normal, low) and so called principle of “stack of books”.
During formation of rules expert set them priorities from 1 (very slight) to 100
(the most significant). Rules with maximal priority must be activated in the first
place. On the basis of the data four groups of priorities was allocated: extra
(priority products to 100), high (products with priority from 60 to 99), normal
(products with priority from 30 to 59) and low (products with a priority less than
30). If the rule was used, its number is saved in the special table called "stack of
books", in which the number of uses is counted. This table is saved and during
all consultations fulfilled by PharmExS and keeps the statistics of activation of
the rules. The principle of “stack of books” suggests that if the rules have equal
priority or do not have them at all, the rule which has been used more frequently
will be chosen in the front of rules to be selected.
Examples of the rules could be seen at the table 3.
