The overlap strip must be worked into the masonry before stucco operations. When forming joints between a penthouse roof and a vertical wall, a closure is used. The side wall joint to the masonry wall is executed using the verge (insertion) profile strip. In principle, the details applicable to the verge also have validity for this work. The wall joint can be completed under certain structural conditions with a ridge-side roof parapet cover. In this case the overlap strip will not be required.
