REPOSITORIES: Holmes County Library, Millersburg, OH LIMITATIONS: None at this time ANALYSIS: The deeds that were copied this time were mostly quitclaim deeds from the children of Peter Luginbuhl ? selling? their property to their brother Frederick Luginbuhl. These heirs at law were scattered over the country, including Michigan, Texas and Nebraska as well as several different counties in Ohio. These are quitclaim deeds are recorded in Volume 42 pages 44 through 50. perhaps some of the grandchildren of Peter Luginbuhl who had inherited a share of the property from their parent who was deceased at the time of Peter?s death. Also included is a Power of Attorney from John Luginbuhl, Richardson County, Territory of Nebraska, to Peter Luginbuhl. This POA gives Peter Luginbuhl the authority to deal with the estate of Christian Welte late of Said Holmes County deceased. This is most likely the father-in-law of John Luginbuhl as his wife?s, Anna Elizabeth, maiden name was Welte. In two deeds from December 1860 between Christian Strahm and Peter Luginbuhl, it appears that the two traded parcels of land that were next to each other.
