A local artist feature on 103.1 KCDA FM in the Spokane/Post Falls/Coeur d'Alene area every Sunday.
We feature local, unsigned musicians who are making waves in the surrounding music scene. You will
hear two artists on our program every month: one on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, the other on the 2nd and
4th Sundays. Far from just bringing in a musician for an interview and a couple album tracks, we have
every artist perform several original songs live in our studio, including full bands on occasion: amps,
drums, and everything! The musicians get to take over our station for 30 minutes, playing live songs,
spinning album cuts, and chatting it up. During the interview, producer Matt Loi leaves most of the
talking to the musicians. We also make a video of one live song and take photos of each artist, allowing
you check out the visual aspect on our website. Even though 103.1 KCDA has a Hot A/C format, the
Local Lounge is open to Indie, Pop, Rock, Folk, Soul, Blues, Funk, Pop Punk, Pop Jazz, Reggae and
anything else that sounds good to our ears.

Began as a project of Stand for Our Neighbors, a group of residents committed to standing up for the
rights of DC residents affected by unjust immigration and welfare reform legislation. Gives priority to
those who most lack access to the means of media production and who are most underserved and
underrepresented by mainstream forms of communication. Radio CPR is not only a place to hear and to
express views not heard anywhere else: it is a tool we can use to challenge oppression from the scale of
the neighborhood to the globe.
