ToP The bright yellow scooter that bedecks Brown Sugar’s foyer is known to draw people’s attention
and also gets many to pause at the entrance for a memorable picture. The back-lit acrylic and wooden
Brown Sugar logo rests on a reclaimed pine wood wall besides the gate that unveils the al fresco
area of the bistro. The surrounding area and pathway embraces greenery with open arms due the
innumerable frangipani trees in graphite planters and tall bottom palms.
Below To add to the Parisian look of the cafe, Brown Sugar houses a wooden pergola that
accommodates three wooden lounges. The planters and lights add a sweet charm to the space.
Although the cafe is discreet, it is still
conspicuous due to the back-lit acrylic and
wooden logo which beckons visitors just like
moths to a flame. What catches your eye first
is a vintage yellow scooter parked against the
backdrop of a low pine rafter wooden wall.
“This quirky piece now gets guests to pause
for a memorable picture,” informs Akshit. The
low wooden gate, beside the logo, unveils the
al fresco area of the establishment. As you
make your way through, the different outdoor
seating arrangements will leave you baffled.
Almost all of them are custom made and one
or two are hand-picked from a local market.
One seating for two on the left is made from
recycled bicycle wheels that can still rotatable.
Some others are wooden high bar style chairs
and tables. There’s also bench-style seaters
made from wrought iron and finished in old
style patina paint with contrasting bright
yellow cushioning.
While inside, patrons don’t miss out on what’s
happening outside thanks to a stained glass
sectional door, which on a pleasant day folds
up completely to merge the two sections. A
